Good financial reporting and management system is an essential element for good governance, to enhance accountability and transparency in government operations that will improve decision-making, quality of delivery of services and ensure effective use of public funds.

ICAI, as a partner in nation building, is also contributing in the area of strengthening the Government accounting system in several ways by providing assistance and associating in implementing accounting reforms and capacity building initiatives.
